I need information about inheritance in Israel and collecting on judgment. If an estate goes to probate does the Israeli inheritance law follow halakha regarding the eldest male, etc?

My ex owes me over $130K and I am afraid his family will "hide" his share somehow. He is the eldest male and it would be very suspect if he didn't inherit anything.

Also, in the state I live we have what is called a Debtor's exam. Is there anything like that in EY?

Does anyone know of a atty-toen who knows dinei mamonot?

As far as I know, if there is no will, a spouse gets half and the remaining half is split among ALL children equally. That is the law in Israel. That is unless all parties agree to go to the rabbanut instead of civil court, incurring the risk that the rabbanut may award more to the males (I've not heard of it happening, but it can).
