For those of you in the wholesale/retail fashion business in the Jewish world...
How do you know the upcoming season's styles?
Shows? Online? Magazines?
Does info from the secular world apply to Jewish market as well?
Please give me specifics... I'm thinking of going into this business and would like to know what it entails....

I am not in the fashion industry but, by seeing non-Jews and Jews alike all dressed in burgundy this season, I would guess so.

Styles usually seep into the "frum" world two or three seasons after it's introduced in the fashion world.

I'm not in the industry, but the "Jewish" clothing stores do not always have the in colors and ideas. I think a lot of time it's similar, but the Jewish market is really one of its own in many ways.

I have a friend who sells clothing. She attends clothing "Shows" where she sees a lot of stuff she will buy for the coming year. I believe she goes to NY and Las Vegas. There she can see what is being produced for the coming year.

I always hear of these "shows"
the question is how do I find out more about these shows?
Which shows? How can I get a list of shows and which ones do I decide to go to? Are there separate shows for Jewish vendors? If the Jewish styles usually follow a few seasons later, then how does it help to go to the current season's shows?
