I have never baked challah before, but I am considering making challah today.
Any simple quick recipes for me?

This is the first recipe I tried and it never failed. It's delicious.
Challah
• 4 packets active dry yeast
• 2 ¾ cups seltzer
• 2 ¾ cups warm water
• 1 tablespoon sugar (for yeast mixture)
• 5 lb bag of flour
• 3 teaspoons salt
• 1 1/3 cups sugar
• 1 cup oil
Dissolve packets of yeast in warm water, seltzer, and 1 tablespoon sugar. Set aside in warm place for 7 minutes.
In a large mixing bowl combine flour, salt, and sugar, mix.. Add oil and mix. Add the water-yeast mixture. Mix and knead.
Let the dough rise at least 2 hours (3 hours is best). Punch down half way through the rising time.
{Do Hafrashas Challah}
Grease loaf pans. Braid and let rise another ½ hour in pans. Egg wash and bake on 350 for 30-35 minutes.
