In my ds's school they use Jupiter. I can find out how he's doing in school, including behavior. If there's anything out of the ordinary, they send a message. In my dd's school they said they will do it, but not as of yet.

Do your childrens school use any system like that and do you like it? My children are in high school, so I don't know if it's even done in elementary.

my dd's high school does everything online. I like and dont like it. I still prefer old fashioned notes and reports or phone calls to having to log in and check on things, but otoh, I dont lose the notes this way. also dd can access class notes and assignments, all of her grades are up, etc, so its good for her.
her elementary school did this too (they started it when she was in 7th gr but now I'm pretty sure its schoolwide).

Yes and it's great. There's a lot of communication.

They also call if something is wrong.

Same here. Communication is not their strong point.

But in this case I prefer their old-fashioned methods.

For tests, etc., they send the actual tests home with the child for the parents to sign and return. I think this is far more informative than just getting a numerical grade in an email. (I am speaking about a primary school, BTW.)

I think sending the stuff home is important, but with this you don't get an email except for big things like discipline and report cards. I can check when my son attends shachris or if he's late, etc. I did say it's high school though. He's also OOT which makes a huge difference.
