My son is 6 1/2 yrs old. With the holiday sales coming up, I want to start getting some kid and family friendly games, esp games that can be used on shabbat. What games are good for kids 6-8 yrs old? I'm okay with getting games my son might be 1-2 yrs too young for, I can just put away for until he is ready. I already have shoots&ladders, rummy cube, Chinese checkers, monopoly, jenga and othello.

Anything from Gamewright card games. I think Rat a tat cat and Slamwich are my favorites, but there are lots of really great choices.
Also Mille Bornes, Battleship, and Mastermind. Anomia. Anything interesting with marbles. If you have space, a foosball or ping pong table offer more energetic challenges.

Banana Split, Spot It, any kind of matching game, stratego, battleship, guess who, mancala, sequence for kids
My kids love board games. Shabbos here is one game after another. They range in ages 6-11 years old and all the games I listed above are favorites of theirs.
