I went to check out DC today because of a complaint of foot pain without a reasonable explanation. Turns out it is Strep.

I would guess DC has been having it for a while but I kept DC home for the day nonetheless and started antibiotics.

How long should I be afraid of DC spreading the infection to others?

Some drs say a days worth of antibiotics (3 doses if 3x a day, 2 doses if twice a day). But I'd err on the side of caution.

I'd ask the doctor who diagnosed/prescribed but they usually say 24 hours after starting medicine.
