I'm sure I'm not the only one, battling the complicated maze of insurance.
After our Oxford plan became unaffordable, we took out a couple plan, for myself & my husband, & put the kids onto child Heath plus. That worked for a while, until last year they threw us off CHP, & put us on health plus amerigroup.
Now we just received a letter, that we're not eligible for health plus, cuz we earn too much. (We're off by $400)
I called COJO for help, but they don't help any more, only for new applicants.
I'm really nervous cuz as off dec 25, my kids have no insurance.
Does any one know some one that could help? Even for payment. Is there any organization or business to guide you in navigating thru this Obama mess??

Call a Broker to help you through the insurance maze.

If it's just $400, would you consider asking for a $400 pay cut so that you're eligible again? (please, let's not make this into a whole benefits vs paying your own deal... it is an option to consider whether you think it's a good option or not.)

I would love to find a broker that works with Medicaid options. Any one know of one?
I called yeled Vyalda they don't help existing plans.

Maybe Yeled Vyalda didn't understand your situation exactly? Because it sounds like you are looking for help signing up for something new since you are going to lose what you had before very soon. And they were able to help me even though I'd already tried doing my application on my own and needed help mid-process. Their entire purpose is to help you through the Obamacare thing. I found them very helpful.

I don't understand how your kids could be off child Health Care plus. Under NY law - you get subsidized health care for children regardless of income. If you have a high income you are still elligible, you would pay $45 a month per child, maximum 3 children - so if you have 6 kids you only pay for three.
