Please describe your experience getting insurance through the NYS health marketplace. In two words my experience has been confusing and frustrating! Any and all tips welcome!

One word: frustrating! My kids were without coverage for THREE months because their turn time was endless. Officially it was being reviewed within 30 (or 45) days, but it wasn't. And it dragged on and on. Getting supervisors on the line, hearing their promises, and being persistent didn't get me anywhere. Until I didn't tell a supervisor that I'm turning to the media, my paperwork wasn't reviewed and my kids weren't approved.

I was not approved either for months. I called my local councilman and registered a complaint. I was approved within about 4 hours!
