We will be heading to walt disney world next month, and I'm looking for suggestions for comfortable, good looking shoes.
Sneakers and skirts are not my style. But we'll be walking allll day long and I need something good, not just, ok for walking.

thanks

Crocs makes some nice flats. They are like walking on air.

There's a whole line of flats and ballerinas in stores. They could be just black or with fun prints.

Recently, after a lifelong of shoe-obsession-disorder (a little joke) I have surprisingly found a line called Comfort Plus at Payless. Incredible, right? But they're the most comfy shoes I've had in a very long time. http://www.payless.com/brands/comfort-plus/

I like Clarks and Naot shoes/sandals. I walk a lot and am very picky about the comfort of my shoes. These brands work well for me.

My summertime FitFlops sandals are wonderfully comfy; I think they make closed shoes too (although they are rather clunky looking, IMO).

these are the only comfortable walking shoes I've ever had. they are not the most fashionable but ok.
the first few weeks of wearing them, they made my feet feel very tired but once I 'broke' them in, they were the best and lasted me 3 years already. I will not walk for long without those shoes.

I find naot too wide & chunky.
I have found a shoe which is more comfortable than any sneaker or crock.
The brand is Rieker. I get from shoebuy.
Every style is the same size so once you know your size any Rieker shoe is a perfect fit. Great boots too.

I would also say that for comfortable shoes that are going to get a lot of wear, go to an actual store and try things on (as opposed to ordering over the internet).

My non-fashionista advice (if you *are* a fashionista, you will not appreciate DrMom's patented footwear selection algorithm):

Prioritize comfort over fashion. Try on anything and everything that feels comfortable and then -- of the shoes that are the most comfortable -- ask yourself: "Which of these is the least hideous?" and buy it.

Your feet will thank you for it.

Oh I should have made myself another so no one will recognize me based on my shoes. Hope I didn't out myself in the name of fashion.

Aerosoles

I used to love Privo by Clark for a comfortable walking shoe, but it looks like they aren't around anymore. Does anyone know if it was named something else?

Merrell Avesso. I actually got stopped by a flight attendant to find out where I bought them because they look so nice and comfortable at the same time!

Amother because I've mentioned the flight attendant numerous times, not because I think I'm the only one on earth with these shoes!

I know it's a sneaker but it doesn't have that "needs to be worn with short socks" look.
Otherwise, I agree with mamabear, clarks rule.

It is actually in style now to wear a mid length skirt with sneakers (such as converse).
I see people of all ages pulling this look off. Not only Jews. Just google the combo "sneakers and skirts". You'll see a ton. It's really in now!

Ya I know they are pricey. I got a $50 coupon from a fashion blog I follow and spent the rest knowing I will wear them every day for ages. They are super comfortable but run large. I love them and would invest in another pair again. They don't really have sales as far as I know. I could use one!

OMG! You just rocked my world. Though I feel like you have to be uber fashionista to pull this off. A denim skirt and a shirt might just look frumpy. But this excites me!

Thank you all for responding! I didn't check this thread in a while b/c when I first posted in went dead for a while, I was surprised to see so many responses!
