Do you have other kids at home?
With my first someone got me a swing that goes up to a large wieght (like 30 lb + ) plus.
I thought it ridiculous (besides that my baby was very large).
But then with my next children it was amazing because if my older kids would choose to use the swing I didn't have to worry about them breaking it. It was one less stress.
It was very non-fancy Graco swing that has so far lasted 4 babies and 3 toddlers.

I have the Fischer Price take along aquarium swing.

It's great. I can take it from room to room as needed. Has lights and music.....fish hanging from the two sides....

Using it now for the third baby....

I have the mama roo, I liked how it was compact, looked nice and there is 4-5 choices of movement patterns and music.
Minus is that the motor part is a bit heavy. My baby happened to not have loved the swing but I think most babies do. It's a very gentle motion

I find that babies have different preferences so I'm happy I borrowed one and didn't spend money on it. First child didn't like swing at all, second did great with it. I hear from others that different babies like different swings but I just had the one so I don't know...

The snugabunny is amazing, but if a big kid jumps on it, it will break. Not sturdy like the Graco.
