I am doing all of the cooking for my son's Aufruf. As Shabbos lunch will be taking place in the shul, the food has to be prepared in the shul's kitchen. Unfortunately, there is VERY little freezer space, which essentially nixes most of the desserts that I usually make for a crowd. Any ideas for a dessert that can be prepared on Thursday or quickly assembled Shabbos day that can feed 50-60 people?

Make little individual trifles with cake and pudding, whipped cream and chocolate shavings on top. They're not supposed to look perfect so you can throw it together quickly with someone else in clear plastic cups.

My favorite one is Bartenura oj fruit salad

Very easy no labor beyond opening packages Smile
Was hit at Ds Bar mitzvah (I catered myself in a pinch )

You will need large bags of frozen tropical cut up fruit at Cosco many have OU, COR , MK or whatever .for 50 kids I Used 2 extra large bags.

put fruit in large bowls add the liquid about 1 or 2 hours in advance refrigeration is optional it is frozen fruit and thaws slowly . You can also just use plain OJ as dressing for the non alcohol version .

Serve in pretty bowls garnish with fresh mint , chocolate shavings, pareve whipping cream , cake cubes basically stuff people can put on top .

I once used mini bundt pans to create individual tiny chocolate bundt cakes. plated them with chocolate syrup underneath and a sliced strawberry on the side
