Should I cut a 3 yr old shaitel w/split ends

I have a kiki shaitel that is 3 years old. it has a nice amount of split ends at the ends. you don't really notice it unless you look really close. should I cut it now before it gets even more dead, or just leave it since you don't really notice the split ends?
