I know there was an old thread on this topic, but I can't find it. If anyone knows where it is, please revive it!

I wanted to post on it but I figure that it was such a fun thread so we can start a new one.

Finishing up a lot of cleaning and organizing in the kitchen tonight and I was desperate for some music. Of course I couldn't find any regular CDs. So a short while later I found myself singing and dancing along to... the Marvelous Midos Machine!

And it was FUN. Awesome songs on that!

What makes you remember that you're a mother?

...you realize that you have not had an uninterrupted shmooze with your bff in several years. (Actually it was HER kids doing the interrupting.)

Of course it was! Very Happy
...you can tell by the sound of your kid's voice that he's about to throw up.
...snow days don't have the same appeal that they used to have.
...your mother's voice starts coming out of your mouth.

When I started looking sympathetically/understandingly at mothers whose:

kids are fighting in store
toddler looks like a mess
is giving her kid a whole bag of nosh to eat
toddler is wearing mismatched clothes
Who let her kid watch videos for 2 hrs straight
Whos kid is talking chuzpudik
Whos kid is having a major temper tantrum in middle of the grocery store
And ect….

Instead of judging them

Your idea of a vacation is a day at home - without the kids!

...you catch your babies spit up in your hands so it doesn't get on your husband's dry clean only suit - and you're not grossed out by it!

if the kid pees in your bed the second time that night you just put a towel over it and roll over.

When I reach into my purse at work and pull out toy cars.

When hands to yourself is the most frequently uttered phrase of the day

When your very potty trained DS is discussing the letter P and you automatically assume something else and get upset for nothing

When you wake up in the morning, you don't know who is in bed with you until you open your eyes.

Love these responses!
...when you're enthusiastically neighing at the "horsies" on the farm that you're driving past... and then you realize that your kids are not in the car.
