I desperately need a cleaning lady 1 day every other week in Brooklyn. I have tried my neighbors and friends. If anyone knows on someone who does a good job and is reliable, please let me know.

Have you tried calling an agency like Soraya (search on here for the #)? It can be hit or miss, but if you're desperate, it's better than nothing. Also, most good cleaning women aren't likely to be interested in a 1x every other week job.
