I am just breaking into the world of tutoring.
I have been tutoring a first grader and after each session I give her a sticker because she is such a good girl.
There is a chance I will be getting a new student; a six-grade girl. I have a feeling a sticker won't cut it
Do you have any ideas of what little (read inexpensive) things a six-grade girl might enjoy getting for a job well done?

I like the stationary idea. But do girls still use stationary these days?

not notepaper, things like pens, pencils, stuff like that might be enjoyed. A 6th grader is already older. It might work to have some type of incentive chart where you fill it up and she gets a bigger prize, like a book.

A sticker on a chart that builds toward a nicer prize when full. The nicer prize does not need to be big or expensive, the point is that the student feels the recognition and accomplishment of having achieved something over time. Maybe have a little jar of prizes that the student can choose what suits her taste, because that's part of the experience at that age especially.

Precious princess pads are the rage here in NY. They're not expensive. I don't know where you live though.
