Pros told me every 2 or 3 months for daily use. Realistically many do less, this is a professional opinion.

2-3 times a year. Usually before rosh hashana or succos, before peasach, and sometimes one other time if I remember. But I also don't wear it every week, especially in the winter when I don't go out very often. Even the weeks I do put it on I never wear it all day so it doesn't get used that much.

I have one sheital I mostly wear for shabbos and simchas and a few random days a month. I tend to wash it 2-3 months but more in the winter because snow and rain make it yuck. In the summer I can go much longer.
