I am considering making cakepops and wanted to know which is better, Gefen Wonder Melts or Liebers Decorating Bars. Liebers seems cheaper but Gefen has more color choices. Also where is the cheapest place to buy them.

I like Lieber's bars, but they get gloppy if you add food coloring to them. You need a lot more of the Wonder Melts to coat a normal amount of cake pops, so if the Lieber's come in the color that you want, get those.

Where to get them depends on where you are...

It gets gloppy because you use regular food coloring, which is water based. You would need to buy special coloring that is oil based and will therefore mix with the chocolate.

Does the Liebers melt as thin as the wonder melts?

I personally found the liebers bars have a better constancy than the wonder melts. I tried the wonder melts a few times. I even got a hold of the owner of of gefen through big big pull and got exact instructions on how to use it and I'm not buying it again

No, I use gel food coloring and it still gets gloppy. I've actually found that it works better if I add the coloring before melting.
