Hi All,

With summer around the corner, I was wondering if anyone happens to know of any websites or stores that sell modest, frum bathing suits? Thanks! 8)

I would be very interested too in knowing on online store. The only place I've seen frum swim dresses/bathing suits was in Tsfat, and unfortunately I won't be there before summer.

Last summer in Yated I saw an advertisement for Aqua Modesta, a bathing suit "made entirely of swimwear fabric available in tow varieties: a top with three quarter sleeves, a below the knee skire or a dress cover-up with three quarter sleeves". Her e-mial was reginetess@optonline.net or call 718-810-2422. She wrote that you can get them at:

Junee at 18 Avenue
J Stores on Avenue J
Eezee on 13th Ave
Mrs K on New Utrecht Ave.
Vertigo on Ave M
Unique Boutique on Coney Island
L and L Fashions on Ave L
Be Feminine on Route 59 Monsey NY

If you are swimming with all woman, why would you need such an outfit, it cant possibly be comfortable or safe.

Do you mean those new swim shirts they have now for kids, just in adult?

I guessit's a question of ask your own rov. our rov doesn't require them; who would want to go swimming like that if it were required?

You can get them in many stores in Boro Park and Will. And they are VERY comfortable and practical and safe. They are made of swimwear material, though not as stretchy, short sleeves and reach till above the knees. Much more comfortable and safe than wearing a T-shirt over a bathing suit (which many people wear for tznius or health). A soaked t-shirt weighs you down!

LOL greenfire.
I used to have a kid in camp who brought one for swimming in our 7' pool.

I don't know about frum bathing suits, but I've been to the frum beach in Tel Aviv and the skimpy bathing suits I saw there nauseated me.

Is there any halachic reason to be modest in a beis ha'merchatz which a swimming pool is? How about tznius in the shower?

Motek, since when do you shower with other women? Obviously this question was for those that feel uncomfortable in a bathing suit which is used with other people around.

I for one swim in a bathing suit.

Hi All,

Sorry if I wasn't clear. When I say "frum" bathing suits, I and referring to a bathing suit that covers the elbows and knees, that can be used on the beach, public or private. Some women wear reuglar bathing suits in front of all women, but when one is on a public beach, in which there are men, I find it more proper to wear a modest bathing suit. I hope I cleared up the misunderstanding. 8)
