I omit it. Sometimes I'll sprinkle in ginger powder into the final dressing, but for the most part I leave it out.
Never mind, What does the recipe call for? Now that I think about it I use skirt steak. I was going to say to soak the skirt steak and rinse very well because otherwise it is salty. I don't think I"ve made this with sandwich steak.

Grill and dress with bbq sauce, and use in subs with sauteed onions, tomato slices, pepper rings, hot pepper, olives, lettuce, pickles....whatever you like.
