Would you give up $175 to attend your child's Purim play? Its during the week of Purim which is already a short week so there no way to make up the hours. So frustrating...

Kids are very expensive, but so worth it.

Think of it from your dc's perspective. Everyone's mom shows up and she cant find you in the crowd.

There is another option. Can a grandma go instead and record it for you. Your dc has someone in the audience and you can both watch it together later.

I would.

There will be other opportunities to make money later. There's only one Purim play. There's only one chance to see your child's face glow when she realizes you gave up your other plans to be there for her. To me, that is worth more than all the money in the world.

I try to attend all plays (granted we don't quite have as many as it seems other countries have), that said maybe don't even count the hours, or you(ll be resentful.
