Also jalapeƱo herring. There are some foods that just shouldn't be used in fusion cooking and herring is definitely one of them.

I don't think herring should be used in *any* kind of cooking unless you are feeding a seal at SeaWorld. I'd definitely rate it among my least favorite foods. I won't touch it.

Worst thing ever? I'd have to say bagels, lox and cream cheese - I usually love this as a brunch but not when the clueless hostess buys blueberry bagels and I'm expected to smile appreciatively and chow down. No, there was not one non-sweet bagel in the bunch! I still have PTSD.

I once met someone who likes cinnamon raisin bagels with tuna salad! Confused

I once mistook a container of frozen cantaloupe sorbet for a container of frozen chicken broth. Dropped it into the crock pot for shabbos. It smelled odd. But I was pregnant and everything smelled odd. DH didn't mention it smelled odd. So I served us steaming hot bowls of cantaloupe sorbet. AWFUL! It took me a couple minutes to figure out what the heck I had just served. I want to hurl just thinking about it.

this just made me lol!!

I actually like almost all foods except for canned tuna and persimmons. I recognize that they are not gross foods, but I literally will start gagging before I can even get them close to my mouth. Fortunately, it's pretty easy to avoid them.

I once accidentally put baking soda in a cake instead of baking powder. I offered a piece to a guest who ate it without complaint.
I later tasted it and gagged! It was AWFUL!

Boiled lamb's head one Rosh Hashana. Shaking

Funny how so many people dislike foods I love. Rose water flavored anything...yum! Marzipan...yum, yum! Even herring...yum!

My dh once surprised me with a cup of coffee in bed one morning. It was not sweet so I though that he just forgot the sugar. Later I asked him if he put sugar in it and said he did and pointed to the "sugar". I realized that he poured in salt. Funny that it did't taste salty, just not sweet.

I once ate kasha and thought that it tasted terrible.
