I need to get cleaning help. Life is getting too overwhelming and I need the help. However I have a few criteria that causes problems every time I try.
#1 I need her to understand and communicate in english. I'm bad at languages and its extremely difficult for me to try to explain something I want done in a certain way when the other person understands nothing I say.
#2 I need them to be willing to stay for 3-4 hours max. My house is not big enough for me to have 5 hours of work every week. I can tecnically give them laundry once I'm comfortable with everything
else. I need the cleaning help more than the laundry help. I am a SAHM and have time to do stuff but with 2 little ones home with me all the time and 2 big ones to add its getting too much to juggle it all.
Whenever I have someone who agreed to come for less than 5 hours she drops me cold turkey after 3-4 times Max. Its so frustrating. Dh is beging me to look for someone but I can't come to it. I'm dreading the stress from looking for 'the right one'.

It makes sense for a housekeeper to look for work that will pay for all day - so if you only need half a day, you need to find a neighbor or relative/friend who lives close by that will want to split the hours of that day with you so that it makes financial sense for the housekeeper to commute to your area for a full day's work.

That's pretty much the only way you'll have someone reliable who won't drop you the minute she gets an offer for a full day.

I have a small apartment and can never find enough work for more than 3-4 hours. I have been successful finding people by asking my neighbors if they can put me in touch with their cleaning ladies. Often if someone is next door anyway it will be worth it for her.

I wanted to try that and it never worked out for me. I get frustrated and stressed and give up but with each year I get more in need of the help!

How about you get someone for 4 hours but pay her for 5?
