If you were a CNA, OT, teacher's assistant or receptionist, (some of the many -25 or 30?- people I need to gift at DDs rehab facility), would you appreciate a $10 Starbucks gift card? I'd write a really nice card to go with it.

I'd prefer a gift card to an ice cream store or home depot

I'm not a coffee drinker but I guess I could get something else...

A book token would be nice.

This is not my answer, I would use that and appreciate it, but it seems you need to know the kind of people you're giving to, as there are many who would not be able to use it because of kashrus issues.

Any gift should be appreciated, but since not everyone loves coffee and some have kashrus issues with Starbucks, it might be best to get a GC for the same amount to Amazon, or a department store, or even a grocery chain.... anyone can find something in those places.

I think a big platter would be better and appreciated. 25 -30 is too much.

No. Gift cards suck. Just give them the $10. There's nothing that everyone likes.

How about a gift card you can use anywhere?

OP here.

Thanks, folks! I so appreciate all your input.

So, to clarify:
They are mostly non-Jewish, or if Jewish, not frum. Just about 3-4 staff members who are frum and would probably be just fine with Starbucks.

A $10 Visa card seems like such a paltry thing to give, as does the $10 bill seem.

Giving a gift in this amount of $$- it's hard to find the right thing that's mostly universally acceptable and looks decent enough to give!

I was thinking that even if you don't appreciate coffee- maybe can be passed on as a gift to a loved one too?

Thanks, all! You rock!

OP here.

Thanks, Squishy. I've done platters. It's hard to thank everyone that way and make everyone feel individually appreciated. Also, not everybody works in the same area and people work different days and shifts!

I would love that gift card! I love all gift cards! Starbucks is a great idea and for $10 you can visit more than once, or drink with a friend.
