Is he like dr oz, who makes things up as he goes along? Does he really source himself well? Is it worth it to read his books? Anyone looked into him?

He is a board-certified pediatrician from California. Seems to be well-researched and has good sources . Definitely worth reading.

There is more than one Dr. Sears....it's a family of pediatricians who wrote a series of books. All evidence based.

So a book by dr sears will have properly sourced, evidence based material? I will go back to all of the sources, just don't want to waste my time.

correct. The one most talked about on this forum is Dr. Robert Sears, who wrote The Vaccine Book.
I think it's a pretty evenhanded look at things.
An excellent starting point, not the be-all and end-all guide to vaccines (can there be such a thing?!).
