never was really interested in pinning back my sheital hair but would like to try a new look. when you put in bobby pins in the sheital, does it go through the cap? does it make a hole in the wig? don't want to damage the cap but I see people with pins in their sheital all the time and I just want to know how it's done properly. thanks!

No, it literally only holds the hair back, same as you'd hold your real hair back with bobby pins without it digging into your skin. When I owned a sheitel, pinning the hair back was the only way I could stand to wear it.

I pin back a tiny part of me sheitel. You only pin back the hair without touching the cap. It will stay back , it may just take a few times of you wearing that way to sort of train the hair . Also tell the sheitel macher when she blows it that you intend to wear it that way . And @ first put in two bobby pins in 2 diff places.

try not to put so much hair into the bobby pin ... so when you gather the hair you want to pull back put only the edges & top layer into it - they're not meant to hold a lot of hair

you can always use a thin barrette with a little more give

definitely do not try to pin it to your scalp
