I spent almost $7 per mm. I feel its a lot!
I'm referring to MM you send to friends, neighbors etc

If you think it's a lot, then either scale down your MM or scale down the number of people you are sending them to. No need to be elaborate just to keep up with the Cohens.
No idea how much mine are going to cost because I haven't finished planning them yet.

I normally buy either cheap cellophane bags or you plastic bowls and cover them in the cellophane wrap (which costs about 2 nis for 5 pieces).
For example of things I have done:
One year I made a small container of soup and a roll.
One year I did grape juice and a challah (its costs about 40 nis to make 30 small challah's) and then the grape juices cost lets say 3 nis each.

You also have to factor in how many you are making

Didn't we recently have a thread like this? I'm spending roughly $2 each (including packaging) for about 24 mishloach manot.

wow. I wish I could do it so cheaply. I don't feel up to making anything homemade this year and I figure I can't buy anything respectable looking for less then about $4-5.
