Hi, I got a new laptop from HP. I'm not very computer comprehensive, but the zoom drives me CRAZY!! Every time I move the mouse it zoom in or out. I always have to go back and default the zoom. Anyone know how I can disable the zoom from adjusting itself constantly??

Likely it's found in your control panel, look for the mouse icon and see where it takes you.

it is not self-adjusting ... you are inadvertently doing this ... when you use 2 fingers outward it zooms out - when you use 2 fingers sliding inward in zooms in ... be careful how many fingers you are using when sliding all over the mouse

and you can use 'ctrl' '0' to go back to the default size

Some mouse pads have zoom/scroll on the right side of the pad, so if that's what's causing it, use the left side or disable it in settings.

Where in the settings?? I tried every feature on the mouse icon...anyone more specific? It zooms in even with one finger only. Also, the arrow freezes on one spot, and I have to wait 2 seconds to be able to move over. The computer is 2 weeks old!!

Does this help: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/O.....01069

Quote:
Open windows Control Panel, open Mouse, select the Clickpad settings tab and then click on the 'Clickpad settings' button. You should now be able to disable 'Pinch zoom' by removing the checkmark. Click Apply and Ok to save the setting.

The ctrl button might be stuck.

another thing to try is to reboot your computer - turn it completely off ... wait a few & then restart it
