Has anyone ever dyed her own human hair wig? Can you please tell me how it is done so that I don't ruin it?

Hi I have dyed my own shaitles n the past beacuse my wigs are dark blond and after a while they bleach out I have bought the best hair color company from shoprite usualy doesnt cost more then 10 bucks and have dyed my wig to a darker color and the ig came out great though the color didnt last long it got brighter with every wash but again so will it be if I take it to a wig stylist and pay $100 for the dye I think if you are not afraid to do it you can do it yourself and save $$
