What could I use to fill Hamentashen with ingredients in the fridge? Something fruity... I have apricot jam and frozen strawberries... I think that's it actually.

What about anything I could easily order, from the food store? I need easy!

Wasn't even going to make Hamentashen, DD is home and insisting...

I make with chocolate spread, super-easy. You might be able to use the apricot jam if you can thicken it on the stove- maybe try a reduction with cornstarch?

I put about 8 or 9 choc. chips in the middle. They don't really melt, but still very yummy.

I posted my apricot jam filling on a different thread.
Basically you add whatever you have on hand to thicken the jam: coconut, ground or chopped nuts of any kind, cut up dried fruit or fruit leather, etc. Make it like a thick paste.
Add a dash of vanilla, some cinammon and I like grated lemon or orange peel too. It's a very fruity/nutty taste, perhaps more for adults than kids though.
Alternately (and perhaps more kid-friendly) I use chocolate spread. Universally loved and easy.
