I have an almost 3 year old Mazali that has seen better days. Right now it's cut into a very long layered look. I would love to revive it by cutting it into a long bob, and dyeing it back to its regular shade. I just don't feel like it's worth it for me to invest almost $200 to do that, when it most likely has only another year left in its life. So, does anyone have suggestions where in Brooklyn I might take it to have it cut cheaply? Or have you done this yourself and have tips for me? Thanks in advance!

Well, after doing a lot of research, I bit the bullet and cut it myself! And it looks amazing! It's exactly the cut I wanted, and I spent exactly zero dollars on it.
I found a tutorial for a few different DIY cuts on this amazing website:

Next order of business- dyeing it back to my normal color!
