Hamilton Beach makes three models that work the same, with different appearance, two that are black, one that is stainless, 31100, 31103, 31104. Theyre highly rated, but not user friendly if I cant use both racks at the same time. Baking cookies on one rack has worked, but its a two rack oven, made for both racks to be used at the same time.

Im terribly unhappy with this oven. I thought having two racks would allow me to bake two low cakes at a time. Not happening.

Top burns. Bottom one doesnt bake well.

Anyone have this oven? If yes, how are your cakes coming out?

is there a center rack holder ... if so put one at a time in the center - takes longer but won't burn or be raw ...

if it's not doing what it's supposed to [baking 2 pans at a time] I would possibly return it

Using one rack at a time is not a problem, but will lead to twice as much time spent in the kitchen.

Im thinking Ill see how other things come out and if I have issues with other recipes, its going back.

Had this oven for years as my dairy oven and always had that problem. when using both racks the top rack is too close to the heating element and the bottom rack is blocked from it. If you can still return it then I suggest you do because, like I said, I had it for years and never found a solution other than using the middle rack holder and baking 1 pan at a time.

I rotate the pans half way through.
