If the weather is somewhat normal - the beach.
You can rent a multiple person bike from Rosies near Ausbury Park Beach. (I think my spelling is all wrong).

It's Rossi's Rent-A-Rama. A lot of fun but there's usually a long wait for the bikes. It's in Seaside Heights (right past Toms River)

we saw people riding similar bikes nears Spring Lake\Ausbury Park beaches. I wonder if there is a different rental place there then.

How was it? Is it worth spending the day there?

For the future you can check out the NJ state museum for a short cheap trip with the planetarium. Its an odd collection. The planetarium show is about 45 minutes (+ 15 minutes to purchase tickets and wait for it to start.) And then 45 - 60 minutes max to tour the museum (including the 9/11 memorial next door). (You do have to watch out for some of the artwork - there are nudes - you can skip the art section).

The state house is next door with free tours on certain days. the tour is about 30 minutes and our tour guide was very entertaining, my young kids enjoyed.

The Monmouth museum also has a planetarium (I have never been there but looked into it)

It was very interesting for all ages. For the younger ones, I found myself translating a lot. You go into the first level of the mine, see the lamp room, the shaft, mock explosion, fluorescent rock, and a musuem of equipment etc. It's perfect for rainy weather. The tour is 2 hours and there's nothing to do besides the tour, even the museum is part of the tour. It began at 1:00.

There's alot more to do besides the tour, the kids can mine for rocks and ore ,with hammers and protective glasses, it was the best part ! They can get precious gems.... be there before 11:30 to do everything. It was fantastic

Thanks tons.

I went there this week.

It's amazing how Hashem basically "Planted money" all over the world for people to take.

There are lots of mines all around the world and each mine has its own "pot of gold".
