I'm so worried. My 8 and a half year old woke me up during the night because her eyes were so itchy/ hurting. I'm sure that it's seasonal allergies. They weren't red at all. For the last 2 years she's had the same thing occur later on in the season and she's taken eye drops and children's Claritin to help her which works. I'm away for pesach at my parents, and found adult Benadryl pills. I gave her one which she swallowed and went back to sleep. So scared that it's way too high a dose for her, and I wasn't thinking clearly during the night. Now what? I'm so worried.

It's not too high. I just looked at kids Benadryl and dosage for 6-11 is 1-2 tsp. 2 tsp is 25 mg like an adult tablet. Refuah Shelama!
