Why do some SHEITELS look cut on the bottom, and some fall naturally at the edges?
Are the ones that flow so nicely and look like natural hair edges, actually uncut? Can I have this look with a new sheitel I'm cutting now?
Does the sheitel need to be of certain quality? Or does it depend on the cut?
I'm asking specifically the bottom of the sheitel hairs.

Anyone? Or is this secret reserved for the better dressed among us?

Do you mean split ends?
Either way, I suppose it has to do with the quality of the hair. Coarse, thick hair will show sharp cut edges as opposed to thin, soft, high quality hair, which tends to fall softly.

There are different methods of cutting hair. Some layer the top, another everywhere. (180 vs 90 for those familiar)

Thanks.
Can a $1000 sheitel get me that look?

I'd say any could if the cap is good and it's cut well. I'm talking look, not quality or durability.

I once noticed the shaitel machel cutting the hair not so straight - kind of mushing/spreading the lock of hair in her fingers as she was cutting it - hard to explain. She told me she does it this way to give it a more natural look.

do yourself a favor before you cut. Find someone who has the cut you want and ask them who cut for them. Then schedule an appointment (as long as she is located in the country). Don't be embarrassed to ask a stranger. Take it from me so you wont regret the outcome after all the money spent on a new shaitel.

S/o once asked me to take my shaitel to her shaitel macher.
Look at websites, print pics,....
A cut can make a cheap shaitel nice and a bad cut can make nice shaitel ugly.
G'luck...shaitels r stressful Always say b''h wear for good reason!

Op here, thanks so much!
Problem is I don't know exactly what I want!
I see so many glamorous SHEITELS on the streets (Brooklyn,) and I feel like everyone looks gorgeous while my sheitel has that wiggy, not at all amazing look.
How does everyone pull it off?
