Any speech therapists out there?

can you advise me about this issue I'm having with my 2 1/2 year old daughter?
she has had beautiful speech for at least 6 months now. all of a sudden since pesach break, she started talking in an almost unintelligible way. she adds an ay sound in between each syllable. for example, instead of saying I want a piece of pizza, she will say Iah wayanta a piyasa ofah piyitza. she has not stopped this since it started a bit more than 2 weeks ago. I try to pretend that theres no issue so as not to reinforce it but sometimes I may try to help her resay a word and she can't or doesn't want to do it.
She does suck a paci a lot. The ganenet likes her to have it because she is a real handful(aggressive with the others) and it seems to calm her somewhat. She seems to be pretty sensory.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My suggestion is to ignore it and just model the way you'd like her to speak. If it persists for a while then you should worry about it.

Okay, you're asking an SLP, what do you think I'm going to say about the paci? Get rid of it Smile

Thank you so much. I appreciate it. It calmed me down a bit.
I plan on getting rid of the paci this summer when gan is over.
