My grandson is turning 3 and I want to buy him a balance bike.
Does anyone have any experience with these?
Do the kids like riding them?
Does it make it easier to learn how to ride a bike?

My 3.5 yo son has one (got it last year) and he likes it. it is supposed to make it easier to learn how to ride a 2 wheeler, since they know how to balance, they dont need to learn with training wheels. ill get back to you later this summer (since he wont have much time to ride around till then)

We JUST got one but will let you know how it goes! My kid is older than yours though. One is a little younger but I'm thinking to keep her on the trike for now. She has had enough stitches in safer situations already.

We just got my 3.5 (who's pretty short) the 12" two wheel bike with the training wheels.
He's obsessed with it and loves riding on it!!
And the fact that it's the two wheel bike makes him feel really big.

You can take him to a bike store and let him try out stuff

OP here so I got him the KAZAM balance bike from Zulily ($30 less). Had them ship it for me.
DD couldn't wait for his upsherin and built it for him.
He's riding (more like straddling) it around the house and LOVES IT.
Thank G-D for FaceTime or I would miss seeing him on it (since I don't live close by)
Sunday is his upsherin. I plan to be there. Monday I plan to go with him to pick out a helmet (he's not allowed to ride outside without one) and take him to the park to ride.
