Original is from Yated Neeman:
Chicken stew
Layer
2-3 cut onions
rice (brown or white)
Cubed Potatoes
Cut carrots, sweet potatoes - whatever starchy vegis your family likes
Season well with salt, pepper, garlic paprika - try 1 tsp of each EXCEPT pepper
place chicken pieces on top
pour 1 can tomato sauce on top of chicken and sprinkle with additional garlic powder and paprika. Add as much water as you would to cook the rice on the stovetop.
Cook on high for 1-2 hours and on low for a few more.
My family loves it.

Basic beef stew - cholent without the beans and add carrots or sweet potatoes. for seasoning try onion soup mix, or none if your family prefers bland.

Sweet Crock pot chicken:

Chicken
1 cup ketchup
3/4 cup brown sugar
3Tbs worcestershire sauce

Place chicken in crockpot, mix all ingredients and pour over chicken. Cook approx. 4 hours on high or low 7-8 hours. You can add in cut potato or serve over rice or couscous. Really yummy.

Marinara Sauce crock pot chicken:

Chicken
1 1/2 cups marinara sauce
3-4 oz tomato paste (can leave out and add extra marinara instead)
Dried rosemary
sliced onions
mushrooms (optional)

Slice onions and layer in bottom of crockpot. Place chicken on top of onions. Add mushrooms if using. Mix sauce and pour over chicken. Cook approx. 4 hours on high or 7-8 hours on low.

If your kids really don't like sauce just scrape off sauce before serving.

One pot sloppy joes:

Diced onions
1lb chopped meat
1 cup ketchup
3Tbs brown sugar
salt
pepper
garlic powder
1 tsp mustard (optional)

Saute onion in a large skillet. Add chopped meat and cook for a few minutes until browned. Mix ketchup, brown sugar, and spices and add to skillet. Cook covered on low for 1/2 hour mixing occasionally. Serve in pitas or buns.

You can serve a simple veggie on the side. I know roast chicken is easy in the oven but this is even easier and produces very succulent chicken.

Sticky Rotisserie Chicken
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Recipe By: CLBB
Serving Size: 4

Ingredients:

4 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon white pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 large roasting chicken
1 cup chopped onion

Directions:

n small bowl, thoroughly combine all spices. Clean chicken well and
remove giblets. Pat dry with paper towels. Rub the spice mixture into
the chicken, both inside and out, making sure it is evenly
distributed and down deep into the skin. Place in a resealable
plastic bag, seal and refrigerate overnight.

Place aluminum wads in a crockpot. Place chicken on top of the
aluminum wads in the crockpot and do not add any
liquid. As the cooking process goes on the chicken will produce its
own juices. Cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours. The chicken will be
falling off the bones.

Remove skin from chicken before eating.

I find 8 hours to be excessive for chicken in the slow cooker - your mileage may vary. You can also use boneless skinless chicken thighs which stand up to slow cooking better but the result is fattier.

Slow Cooker Autumn Chicken Stew In the Slow Cooker

Ingredients:

2 parsnips, peeled and cut into thirds
1 medium butternut squash, peeled, halved lengthwise, seeded, and cut into 1" slices
1 large red onion, cut into 8 wedges
1 cup apple cider, or apple juice
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves, (6 oz each)
6 ounces baby spinach, (about 6 c)
2 cups cooked whole wheat couscous, (2/3 cup dry)

Directions:

1. Arrange the parsnips, squash, and onion in a 4- or 5-quart slow cooker.
Pour the cider over the vegetables and sprinkle with ½ tsp of the
rosemary, ½ tsp of the thyme, and ¼ tsp of the salt.

2. Lay the chicken on the vegetables and sprinkle with the remaining ½ tsp
rosemary, ½ tsp thyme, and ¼ tsp salt. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8
hours. Stir the spinach into the hot liquid until wilted.

You can do spiced bone in chicken over whole baby potatoes (cut potatoes turn gray). You do need to over season for crockpot chicken to come out great. Do not add the water. Cook on low 6-8 hours.
You can do meat stew with cubes of meat tossed in flour, onion, garlic, carrot, potato, s&p and water or chicken broth on low for 9 hours.
Put a formed meatloaf (no pan) over a bed of cubed sweet potato. Oil and seasonings on sweet potato but no water. On low 6-8 hours.
