ok dh wants healthy meals
I have 7 picky kids that all like different things

I work and don't have much time for cooking
one of my daughters won't eat anything that was frozen and I can't repeat meals in the same week.

My kids don't like bread so I need both lunches and suppers

Please help me with meal ideas

The winner gets a big smile Smile

I'll play! A few questions first.

Can you give us a list of likes and dislikes?

Do you have a crockpot?

How deep are the dislikes, and have you ever tried insisting on a few bites of nonpreferred foods? If so, what happened?

How many of your kids are old enough to cook, or at least do a little in the kitchen?

likes and dislikes

most of the kids like simpler food
my 12 year old is complaining nothing is appetizing and too simple
very picky eaters and hard to get them to eat what they don't like

at this point 12 year old dd is the hardest as she is barely eating anything (won't eat tuna, hot dogs ,anything from the freezer)

My good meals now are

1. pizza and salad
2. chiken and potatoes fresh
3. fresh shnitzel and rice

Watching this for lunches, as another Ima whose kids won't eat sandwiches.

What veggies will they eat? Do they eat soups? Stews, either meat (beef stew, chili, meatballs) or veggie (ratatouille, stir fries, Indian food)?

Do they eat eggs? Cheese?

Some kids will eat certain kinds of bread but not others. My non-bread-at-lunch eaters will gobble grilled cheese at dinner.

Some ideas that work for us: rebaked potatoes with a preferred vegetable and melted cheese. Throw veggies and water in a crockpot in the morning, have vegetable soup for dinner. When all else fails, cheese on crackers with a high nutrition rating, peanut butter on rice cake, crudites dipped in chumus.

your 12 year old is old enough to prepare her own food if she doesn't like whats on offer. Don't try and please every family member every night, or you will have a very boring menu. But you can make extra and leave it in the fridge so the next night when child x doesn't like whats on offer, he or she can heat it up. Eg if your dd only likes fresh schnitzle, prepare extra, leave it raw, and the next night she can cook it.

Burgers
Kebabs
There are also things that can be frozen raw and prepped so they take minimal time for a busy mother and don't taste freezerish at all.
Shnitzel- frozen crumbed in layers with parchment paper or similar between them
Burgers - patties frozen like the schnitzels
Kebabs- you can assemble your own with vegetables your children like and freeze raw in a pan
Meatballs- can be frozen as raw balls and cooked in a crockpot it you have one.

If your daughter thinks it's too simple- let her add her own dressing/sauces to her own meals.

How do they like meatballs and spaghetti?
Baked ziti, mac n cheese or another pasta and cheese?
Do you need six meals or do you serve leftovers one day and need just five?
