I need advice, my 16 month old scratches and pinches my face all the time and occasionally bites, I really dont know how to stop this behavior, she doesn't only do it to me, she is in a babysitting group and the babysitter told me that she was hurting other kids and trying to take their food. I feel so terrible she gave one kid a really big scratch. I cut her nails very often so that she wont hurt people when she scratches, but they grow so fast! please please give me advice on how to get her to stop doing this.

Every time my baby scratched, hit, pinched or tried biting, I said "OW, no!" And then lifted them up off my lap and put them down on the floor a couple feet away. They learned pretty fast that hitting was not in their best interests.

With kids this age that don't talk yet, it's pretty tough.
Good luck!!!
