My son gets badly bitten every year, anyone know of a cure that has NOT got anti histamine in it as he is allergic to it.

There are many different antihistamines, which one is your son allergic to?

Topically use bentonite mixed to a paste with water but I still have to take antihistamines.

Ice! Or running a cold shower handle over the area for several minutes. It numbs if for some relief. BTDT

An ounce of prevention = a pound of cure. I use Purification essential oil and it really wards off the mosquitoes. I think the main anti-mosquito ingredient is citronella so you could probably just get that, but this stuff keeps just about everything away. I dilute it with water and spray all over the people, clothes, and area.

When I forget to use it, lavender helps somewhat but really prevention is the way to go.

Boots has something called sting relief pen. It really works well, has ammonia (so stinks a bit and you can't apply on raw/broken skin) instead of anti-histamine.

My sympathies, I'm also like a walking mosquito bait among my family. (yeah, call me yummy mummy, NOT!)

Have you tried using a mosquito repellent? No experience so can't tell you whether they work or not, just thought it may be worth a try.

Citronella candle if you have a safe place to put it.
Gold Bond medicated cream to relieve the itch.
There are spray repellents and plug in devices that might work, maybe someone here has tried them?

Hairspray? Before or after?

You can get citronella wrist bands to protect h while he's out.

Feed him lots of garlic or garlic pills throughout the year. It will prevent mosquito bites a s the smell will seep thru the skin and repels mosquitoes.
