I was planning to do a meat knish sort of thing as a starter for one of the meals on Shavuot but couldn't get any normally priced ground meat or chicken.
I do have chicken breasts and I was thinking to cook it with spices till it's really soft then shred it and mix with fried onions and veggies and put that in the puff pastry.
Would that work?
How should I spice the chicken?
What veggies would work?
I'm not very good at making up recipes so any input would be appreciated.
