I live in Israel, my in-laws live in the NY area. It's their anniversary this week, and we want to send them something to show we're thinking of them.

I have no idea what to send, though. Here's my problem with standard gifts:

1. Flowers - it's right after Shavuos.
2. Cake/Candy Platter - they're officially watching their weight
3. Fruit platter - we did this for another occasion, and MIL got insulted that we were hinting she needed to diet. (No such hint - we thought it would be a tasty, refreshing snack that everyone likes.)
4. Picture gift - can't have it shipped in time. we should have thought of this earlier, but too late for that now.

Any ideas of what we can order locally to have delivered on their special day?

Thanks Gold.

I don't think something like that will ship in time. Also, I wouldn't know what to get. They're not coffee/tea drinkers, so mugs would be useless. They have no room on their walls for another wall hanging. (The house looks like an art gallery already.)

They never appreciate any real gift we get them Sad

They liked the cheesecake we once sent for Shavuos in honor of their anniversary a few days later. And flowers on another occasion. Something like that would really be best, but we can't send cake or flowers because it's right after Yom Tov. I only woke up about this yesterday.

Call them and tell them you made prepaid reservations for them at a nice restaurant near their home.
S/O did that for us and it was so nice. They called the restaurant before hand and arranged a nice table with candles, and paid for us to order from the menu an appetizer, meal, and dessert.
Since its prepaid we couldn't refuse.
