My coffeemaker has started to make coffee that tastes a little... burnt? Too bitter? I know I need to buy better coffee (I usually buy what's on a sale but if anyone has a good recommendation for a low cost ground coffee brand, I'd take it!) but I think I also need to clean it somehow. I clean the filter and the glass carafe with soap and water after every batch but I think I need to do something to the... internal mechanism? Any idea??

Coffee deposits oils that eventually get rancid and taste foul. Every so often you should fill the machine with white vinegar and run it through a full cycle, then run a second cycle with plain water. Your coffee should taste just fine after that.

Wow, that's a big coffeemaker. You can dilute the vinegar half and half with water.
