I've soaked in dishwasher-detergent & cleaned thoroughly. I am just second-guessing myself if my 8 quarts (in a 10 qt pot) of boiling water is 60 times the volume of a spoon. Of course it must be. But if anyone knows for sure I would much appreciate.
I've googled & all they seem to say is a large pot.

Yes that's ample. Imagine 6 spoons stacked on top of one another. Then think of that times 10 - you should be able to visualize and see that you have plenty of volume of water.

If you want to get mathematical about it, 8 quarts is 32 cups or 256 ounces. 1/60 of that is 4.26 ounces . A spoon, even a large serving spoon, occupies nowhere near that volume.

LOL, I thought this question was going to be about how OFTEN I kasher my silverware!
DD has impulse control issues, and will grab whatever spoon or bowl looks convenient. 12 years old, and she still treifs up my kitchen. I keep a jar handy for silverware that ends up in the wrong bowl, sink, whatever, and kasher them once a week.

I went and dropped a spoon in a measuring cup to see how much the water rose. It was too small to measure.
So I weighed it on a scale accurate to the gram, it was 40 grams. The density of stainless steel is 8.03 g/cm3. Another sources said 8.05. Let's just say 8. So it's 5 cubic centimeters. Now multiply that by 60. And type into Google, convert 300 cc to cup, and it tells me 300 cubic centimeters = 1.26802585 US cups (or look up that 1 cc = 0.0042267528 cup and multiply that by 300). As zaq said, 8 quarts is 32 cups. So you're good. Even if your spoon is a bit heavier than mine or made from a less dense metal it's not going to be 25 times the volume.

Thanks for all of you who took the trouble to help! I ended up taking my big fleishig pot and started putting silverware into it. When I go to 40 & saw it was barely covering the bottom I knew I was okay!
