What can I use as a tray for my candles other than silver?

My DH got me a nice slab of marble to put my candles on. It looks very nice and cleans easily. Don't have to worry about scratching it or keeping it polished, either.

What about a tray made of "mirror?"

anything noncombustible: glass, marble, ceramic, brass, Armetale(TM), pewter, copper, stainless steel, aluminum, china, porcelain, granite or any other stone.
Wood, papier mache and plastic, being combustible, are not recommended.

I second marble. Look different yet still traditional. Other options might be glass or lucite.

Please, not lucite or any other plastic. Not only are they combustible but they release highly toxic gases when they burn. Candles should be placed in noncombustible holders on a noncombustible surface with no combustible materials in the immediate vicinity. get those lace tablecloths, silk flowers, and piles of benchers out of there.

You can get a pretty beveled mirror tray for inexpensive.

Yes.
A tray is even better if it has little feet so air can circulate underneath, which cools. That applies if you are using tea light candles that sit right on the tray.
