My DS is 5 and we were advised to have her tubes and adenoids removed. She has had tubes inserted before, when she was 3.5.
Her ears and full of fluid again, although she doesn't get ear infections. She doesn't snore noisily at night or seem to mouth breath, but she does have a very lousy appetite.
I am interested to hear from others who have had their children's adenoids removed when doing tubes. (Sorry, but don't respond please if you've done tonsils, bec that is not the case here). The ENT is not insisting on it, but is advising it.
Are you happy you removed your children's adenoids?
Did removing them affect your child's appetite?
Did you chose to NOT remove them and are happy with your decision?
Thanks in advance!

We removed my son's adenoids and put in another set of tubes when he was 3. The difference was unbelievable, and the recovery was not too bad. Before the procedure he had chronic ear infections. Afterward he was a different kid, with just a few ear infections in the winter like every other kid. I would highly recommend it.
