Frum communities near syracuse or binghamton

My husband is applying for postitions in Pediatric dentistry. He saw a job listed in syracuse, NY and also one in Binghamton. We have four children (9,6,twins almost 2) and are looking for a vibrant jewish community with schools going through HS. Are there any young vibrant frum communities near Binghamton or Syracuse that anyone knows of, which would provide an easy commute?

Or does anyone know of a good pediatric dental job opportunity near a vibrant Orthodox community?

It's not a great commute, but probably your best bet would be Rochester near Syracuse, or Scranton near Binghamton. Also check the drives from Albany.

Bad commute is an understatement. LOL

I don't think there is a significant frum community in Binghamton. You could contact the Chabad at Binghamton University to get more insight.

Rochester is definitely the nearest frum community that could be described as vibrant, but no, it wouldn't be an easy commute - 1.5 hours. Scranton to Binghamton is about an hour. That's pretty much it.
