Hi everyone,
I'm thinking of making my toddler's 3rd birthday party on shabbos. I was thinking to invite friends to come over in the afternoon and all the kids could play, I'd put out treats, etc. It would be casual and obviously no projects or goody bags. We're in an apartment so can't go outside but does anyone have ideas for things to do that would make it extra fun or cute? I'm open to ideas on anything from games to shabbos-friendly activities to fun way to set up treats, anything you can think of.
Thanks to all the creative Imamothers for helping me out!

For my dd's birthday party on Shabbos, the kids made candy necklaces (they were able to wear them home because there was an eruv, but if they can't wear them home it's still fun to make it and then eat it!). I used those long coils of licorice as the string, then bought anything that had a hole in middle to string onto it - onion rings, candy rings, circular pretzels, Froot Loops, etc. They all really enjoyed it!

I did an icecream party for my DD at that age. I set up a little card table on my front porch and put out some cute toppings (mostly different kinds of sprinkles) and gave the kids icecream in little cones to dip. It was messy but loads of fun. The kids loved it!

Dd was once invited to a shabbos afternoon tea party. It was really cute! The mom had set the dining room table with fancy disposable china and served the girls iced tea and prettily iced cupcakes. There was also fruit and candy.

The mom read a book about a tea party and had the girls play some games. I think she put a few household objects in a bag and passed it around. The girls took turns describing the objects and trying to guess what they were. There were some other games as well. The girls had a grand time!

How about a fancy tea party, serve finger sandwiches and cute little pastries and serve lemonade with umbrellas or iced tea. The girls can wear shabbos clothes and you can provide additional dress up items to put on before the tea party (costume jewelry/hats/tichels/scarves/feather boas)

Thanks for all the ideas! I like the candy and treat- making tables. The tea party is cute but I don't know if the kids are up for that yet. I just don't want it to be one big playdate where all the kids are running around with the regular toys. I want it to be extra fun and special for DD Very Happy

you could do a puppet show. Print out puppets and make a little stage out of cardboard.
