My son received P3 services during the school year. He would really benefit if this continued during the summer. Does anyone have any idea how to get this process started? Thank you.

It's very hard. Often close to impossible.
If you can prove that the child didn't get full services during the year due to a deficiency on the DOEs end, or if the child has mental deficiencies, then there is a case.
I had to pay private out of pocket the summer that dd needed lots of help.

If you didn't use services for 6 straight consecutive weeks as you couldn't find a provider then you may be able to get. Otherwise it's only for severe cases where the child is usually already approved for 8 or 10 sessions a week during the school year.
You can try contacting the head of your CSE but you really need a strong letter from the teacher and parent and SETTS provider all stating the child really needs it and can regress...

Not true at all. It's reserved for kids whom you can prove will regress majorly without it. My dad. Has a very high iq and gets a 12 month iep

I couldn't believe they used that term.
