We're iy"H relocating to the Monsey area. Someone suggested that new Hempstead might be the best neighborhood for us. We wanted to know about what shuls are in the neighborhood. Is the whole area diverse or do certain streets/areas have certain types of families. We're not familiar with the area at all. So, any help would but appreciated.

Everywhere in New Hempstead should be within 5 to 10 minutes of a shul.
There is Rabbi Nussen Spiegels shul which is like a litvishe shteebel so it has heimish flavor.
There is Rabbi Brecher's shul which is yeshivish.
There is also something referred to as Rabbi/Shabbos shul which has a lot of professionals (attorneys, lawyers, etc.)
And many more. Please PM me if you'd like more information. It's a beautiful neighborhood.

Rabbi Shabes's shul (referenced above) has a lot of non-professionals as well. Really nice shul. There is also Rabbi Bronspiegel's shul (has a new Rav now but can't remember the name) which is very yeshivish, and there is Rabbi Sapirstein's shul which is more of a mix.
In general, a really nice neighborhood with a mix of very down to earth people.
ETA: I think the new Rav of Bronspiegels shul is Rabbi Becher, which Scrabble mentioned.

The new Rav is Rabbi Hollander. I have friends who live on the neighborhood and daven there and it's a yeshivish/yekki mix.

I've been looking in monsey and was also told I'd like new Hempstead. What r the boundaries of the area( cross streets, zip)
Is new city considered part of new Hempstead?

Thanks for the correction, momto2.
New hempstead covers a wide stretch so there's no 2 specific cross streets. Zip is 10977, same as Spring Valley. No, it's not the same area as New City.

What's your age range?
Some areas of New Hempstead are "older" families- if you are younger, make sure to look for the blocks that have younger families.
Supposed to be a very nice neighborhood, down to earth and friendly.
New Hempstead covers a large area, so there are many shuls. For example, there is now a growing area of New Hempstead called "up the hill" or something like that, where younger families are moving, which is a 45 minute walk from the "original" New Hempstead area.
Speak to a real estate agent, there are tons of nice frum knowledgeable ones in Monsey.
